Tulsa County Commissioner Karen Keith joined Eagle Scout Frank Whitlock at Triangle Park, formally known as Bruner Hill Park, recently to celebrate and dedicate his donation of park equipment. Whitlock worked to improve the park and also provided a dedication monument, explaining that the Bruner Hill area is named after Billy Bruner, a member of the Creek Nation who was originally allotted the property.
Whitlock raised all of the funds necessary to add the equipment and monument to the park as part of his Eagle Scout project.
“I can’t thank Frank enough for going above and beyond to improve one of our parks,” said Commissioner Keith. “Mr. Whitlock is a model of the kind of people we need in our communities.”
